The estate of world-famous composer Giuseppe Verdi will be put up for auction.

Axar.az informs that the mansion is now owned by the Verdi family. For 20 years, the family did not know what to do with the mansion, so they decided to put it up for auction.

The mansion contains the composer's personal belongings, books, documents and paintings.

Following the news of the sale of the villa, Italian conductor Alessandro Bonato called on the leaders to save Verdi's estate as part of the world heritage and launched a petition.

To date, about 4,000 people have signed the petition.

It should be noted that Giuseppe Verdi spent 51 years of his life in this mansion.
