Ukrainian conductor fired for performing in Baku

The chief conductor of the Odessa Opera and Ballet Theater Vyacheslav Chernukho-Volich was fired for performing at the Azerbaijan Opera and Ballet Theater.

Axar.az reports that this was reported by the Odessa National Opera.

It was mentioned in the information that Chernukho-Volich did not agree with the theater management about his decision:

"The management of the theater considers such actions of the chief conductor of the National Opera unacceptable at a time when Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine is taking place. It is impossible for our theater to continue its labor relations with those who do not understand this and do not take a clear civic-patriotic position."
