Azerbaijani singer killed at US-Mexico border

Azerbaijani singer Albina Pyaksheva has passed away.

Axar.az informs the news was shared on Facebook by Leila Efendiyeva, director of the Baku Jazz Festival.

“Albina Pyaksheva (born in 1993) was killed while trying to cross the border checkpoint between Mexico and the United States,” the post stated.

It’s worth noting that Pyaksheva was a finalist in the “I Am Jazzman” competition held within the Baku Jazz Festival and also participated in the “The Voice of Azerbaijan” TV show.
