Isfahan razes Kamar Zarrin, an archaeological treasure

The Isfahan municipality has demolished the historical site "Kamar Zarrin", dating back to the Seljuk era using heavy machinery.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by the "Mehr" agency.

"The Isfahan municipality attacked the historical monument at night with heavy machinery and bulldozers," the report said.

Some time ago, archaeologists and experts had emphasized the significance of the site and demanded that the Cultural Heritage Organization grant permission to uncover architectural and other historical artifacts buried underground in the area.
