As part of the measures taken against the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in Azerbaijan, except of cargo transportation, entry and exit to the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan via ground and air transport, including local flights are completely suspended from 00:00 on April 5, 2020 to 00:00 on April 20, 2020, the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan told.

Axar.az informs that, this measure serves to intensify the work on detection of cases of internal coronavirus infection, isolation and identification of infected persons and their quarantine, regulation of reception to the quarantine facilities and increase of hospital readiness in the country.

Taking into account the global pandemic and emergency situation, we call on the citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan abroad to show restraint and understanding, strictly adhere to the quarantine regime of their countries, refrain from travel and apply to the diplomatic missions of the Republic of Azerbaijan if necessary.
