President Ilham Aliyev has congratulated the Orthodox Christian community of Azerbaijan on the occasion of Easter.

The congratulation underlined in his message that traditional fraternal and friendly relations among peoples who have lived in Azerbaijan for centuries, the coexistence of various religions in an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust glorified our country in the world as a place of exemplary tolerance.

The message also reads that preservation of religious-ethnic diversity, historical-spiritual heritage in Azerbaijan is one of priority directions of countr's state policy.
