Elshad Aliyev has been appointed deputy chairman

President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order appointing a new deputy chairman of the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora.

Axar.az reports that, according to the decree, Elshad Aliyev was appointed Deputy Chairman of the State Committee.

Prior to his new position, Aliyev served as executive director of the Azerbaijan Diaspora Support Fund. The Fund operates under the auspices of the State Committee.

Faig Guliyev, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora, was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Georgia on August 17.
