A few days ago, there was a phone call between Armenia's second president, Robert Kocharyan, and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Axar.az informs that Armenian media reported on this.

It is mentioned that the Russian leader congratulated Armenia's former president on the occasion of his 70th anniversary. Details of the phone call are not provided.

Some publications note that the phone call is of particular significance at this stage:

"In any case, the fact of the phone call itself is particularly intriguing in the current situation. It appears that Russia is increasing its attention towards Armenia. On one hand, they have started to restore contact with the government, as evidenced by visits from the Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Deputy Foreign Minister, and various officials. On the other hand, they are reestablishing relations with trusted partners."

It should be noted that Robert Kocharyan turned 70 on August 31.
