President Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping.

"Dear Mr. President,

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, it is with great pleasure that I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you and, through you, to your friendly nation on behalf of myself and the people of Azerbaijan, and convey my best wishes.

Over the past period, the People's Republic of China has achieved significant accomplishments in all areas—economics, industry, science, space exploration, modern technologies, defense, the social and economic welfare of its population, and other fields—gaining high prestige in the international arena and securing its place among the world's most powerful and influential states. You have played an invaluable role in these achievements through your personal contributions and services.

The current level of Azerbaijan-China intergovernmental relations, built on friendship and mutual respect and enriched with new content every day, brings us joy.

I highly appreciate our meeting in Astana in July, which took place in an atmosphere of sincerity and mutual trust, where we exchanged views on the wide spectrum of bilateral relations and the prospects for our cooperation. I believe that the "Joint Declaration on the Establishment of a Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the People's Republic of China", adopted during our meeting, is an important historical step and a vivid manifestation of our mutual determination to further expand and strengthen our cooperation.

Today, the high level of our political relations and active dialogue create a favorable environment for expanding our mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, including economics, trade, transport-logistics, telecommunications, humanitarian issues, and more. I would especially like to highlight our effective collaboration within the frameworks of the Belt and Road and Middle Corridor projects.

At the same time, we are determined to deepen our joint activities with China in combating climate change, including in the fields of 'green' energy and green, low-carbon technologies, and to strengthen cooperation with your country’s leading companies. I believe that China’s active participation in COP29, which will be hosted by Azerbaijan in November, will contribute to advancing the global climate action agenda and achieving our goal of leaving a cleaner and more sustainable world for future generations."

Dear Mr. President,

I am confident that the traditional friendship between Azerbaijan and China, both bilaterally and multilaterally, will continue to develop through our joint efforts in line with the interests of our friendly peoples, and our strategic partnership will deepen even further.

On this significant day, I once again extend my heartfelt congratulations to you, wishing you good health, happiness, success in your endeavors, and perpetual peace, prosperity, and well-being for the friendly people of China.
