Azerbaijan troops depart for Turkiye to Join EFES-2026 drill

A group of servicemen from the Azerbaijan Army has departed for Turkiye to participate in the multinational military exercise “EFES-2026."

Axar.az reports, citing Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense, the troops will take part in the live-fire training phase of the exercise, which is being held across Istanbul and Izmir as preparations continue for the next stage of the operation.

Upon arrival, Azerbaijani servicemen were welcomed at Chighli Air Base in Turkiye, marking the beginning of their participation in the large-scale drills.

The “EFES-2026” exercise aims to strengthen coordination among participating countries during complex military operations, improve combat readiness, and enhance practical battlefield skills through joint training activities.
