Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has congratulated Azerbaijan on the sixth anniversary of the Karabakh Victory.
Axar.az reports that Erdogan shared the message on his X account, expressing his pleasure at celebrating the anniversary in Shusha alongside Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
“I was pleased to celebrate the sixth anniversary of the Karabakh Victory in the beautiful city of Shusha, a city of history, nature and culture, alongside Azerbaijani President and my dear brother Ilham Aliyev.
Six years ago, the Azerbaijani people, united under the determined leadership of my brother Ilham, liberated Karabakh with great heroism.
This glorious victory continues to stand as the finest expression of Azerbaijan’s just cause and a source of pride for the entire Turkic world.
Azerbaijan’s liberation of its own territories from occupation through the 44-day Patriotic War opened the door to a new era in the South Caucasus.
The task before us today is to crown the victory achieved on the battlefield with lasting peace and stability.
Just as we stood by Azerbaijan’s just cause, we also support its sincere efforts to establish lasting peace in our region.
We greatly appreciate Azerbaijan’s efforts to rebuild Karabakh and restore the region to its former vitality.
Every home where the fire burns again, every new structure rising and every historical heritage site restored in Karabakh reflects the Azerbaijani people’s confidence in the future.
God willing, we will continue to share our experience and contribute to reconstruction and development efforts along this path,” Erdogan added.
