Azerbaijan, UAE hold talks on trade, energy and investment

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met in Gabala with a delegation led by the UAE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Saeed bin Mubarak Al Hajeri.

Axar.az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, that the sides held wide-ranging discussions on the prospects for developing the existing friendly and strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the high level of political dialogue and reviewed opportunities to expand cooperation in areas including the economy, trade, investment, energy (including renewable energy), transport and logistics, high technologies, and education.

Bayramov provided detailed information on Azerbaijan’s favorable investment climate and major infrastructure projects being implemented in the region, stressing the importance of UAE companies’ participation in ongoing projects in the country.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on regional and international issues of mutual interest. The sides underlined the importance of further strengthening cooperation on international platforms.
