An expanded meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and Kaja Kallas, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice President of the European Commission.
Axar.az reports that the information was shared on the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry’s X account.
The sides had a comprehensive discussions covering the full scope of Azerbaijan–EU relations, including political dialogue, legal and institutional cooperation, and prospects for further development of the bilateral partnership agenda.
Particular emphasis was placed on energy cooperation, including Azerbaijan’s role as a reliable supplier contributing to Europe’s energy security, as well as collaboration in renewable energy.
The meeting also addressed trade and investment, economic diversification, digitalization, innovation, and industrial cooperation, alongside transport and logistics connectivity, notably the development of the Middle Corridor and regional infrastructure projects.
In addition, the sides discussed regional and international security issues, including post-conflict developments, reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts, humanitarian demining, and ongoing normalization efforts in the South Caucasus, stressing the importance of achieving sustainable peace and stability.
