Axar.az reports that President Ilham Aliyev made the remarks during a meeting with residents in the city of Zangilan.

“The Armenian leadership knows this, and so do those backing them. No matter how much support they receive, they understand that they have no chance against our strength — they are powerless. If they truly had strength, they would have helped Armenia back in 2020. Some foreign leaders who now come to Armenia and portray themselves as false heroes were also in power in their own countries in 2020. They should have stood by Armenia then. Beyond empty rhetoric, there is nothing there. Their occupation is empty talk, which is why their approval ratings in their own countries stand at only 10–15 percent. Now they pretend as if they saved Armenia from us,” the head of state emphasized.
