Azerbaijan, Austria hold first consular consultations

Azerbaijan and Austria have held their first consular consultations in Baku.

Axar.az reports that the Azerbaijani delegation was led by Emil Safarov, head of the Consular Department, while the Austrian delegation was headed by Rene Amri, Deputy Director General for Consular Affairs.

During the consultations, the sides reviewed the current state and future prospects of cooperation in the consular sphere, including the signing of new bilateral documents and opportunities for the digitalization of consular services. They also held detailed discussions on several draft agreements under consideration.

The two sides exchanged information on recent developments in consular affairs and discussed proposals aimed at strengthening cooperation in legal assistance, education, migration, labor, and other areas.
