Baku says 'no comment' on Pashinyan victory

As previously reported, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s Civil Contract Party won Armenia’s June 7 parliamentary elections with 49.82% of the vote.

Against this backdrop, the question arises whether Azerbaijan, which has been pursuing a peace agenda with Armenia, might congratulate Pashinyan on his election victory.

In response to an inquiry from Axar.az, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry said: “We have no comment.”
