Sharif says final peace deal text reached

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that a final draft of a peace agreement has been reached, as mediation efforts continue.

Axar.az reports, in a post on X, Sharif said Pakistan remains engaged in active diplomatic efforts between the parties involved.

“Amid ongoing intense mediation efforts by Pakistan, we are fully aware of incessant misinformation campaign being waged by those who want to sabotage the peace deal,” Sharif wrote.

He added that progress had been made toward a final agreement.

“Setting aside the noise, we can confirm that a final, agreed upon text of the peace deal has been reached and Pakistan is now working closely with both sides to finalize the next steps,” he said.

Sharif also expressed optimism about the negotiations, stating, “Peace has never been this close as it is now.”
