Azerbaijan repatriates 23 citizens from Syria

Another 23 Azerbaijani citizens—7 women and 16 children—repatriated from Syria by the Government of Azerbaijan have been placed in a relevant social service institution under the Social Services Agency.

Axar.az reports, citing the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, that initial medical and psycho-social assistance was provided to the repatriated individuals.

After the rehabilitation process is completed, the citizens will be sent back to their homes.

It was noted that in recent years, the Social Services Agency has provided social rehabilitation services to more than 600 repatriated individuals returned to Azerbaijan.
