Armenians did not welcome the project of the "intersection of peace" presented by the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan.
Axar.az reports that Pashinyan's project is to prevent the creation of a corridor from Zangezur, and instead to achieve the opening of communication with a simplified regime.
Armenian human rights defender Avetik Ikhshanyan claims that if this project is realized, Armenia's economy will be 100 per cent under the control of Azerbaijan and Turkiye.
"If the map shown by Pashinyan is implemented, the economy of Armenia will soon depend on the economy of Azerbaijan and Turkiye and will collapse 100 per cent. Azerbaijanis will buy apartments and facilities in Yerevan, and the demography of Armenia will change. Over time, Armenia will come under the economic, and later political control of Azerbaijan and Turkiye," Ikhshanyan claimed.
Armenian expert Karen Igityan claims that Azerbaijan and Turkiye will get more profit from this project.
It should be noted that although the Armenian experts criticized the project presented by Pashinyan, Yerevan's main goal here is to get rid of the impasse, to achieve the principle of jurisdiction in the matter of opening communication, that is, not to lose control over the transport routes that will pass through Armenia.
