The Gazakh authorities will not play the role of a mediator in the negotiations while organizing the meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Almaty.

Axar.az reports that Aybek Smadiyarov, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, said this.

"We are planning such talks in Almaty. Now we are in contact with our colleagues in Azerbaijan and Armenia. Future negotiations will be conducted only between the parties. I would like to note that we are not talking about the mediation of Astana, we provide only goodwill services, "good offices", he said.

It should be noted that the meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia is expected in Astana.
