On May 20, the President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan called the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

Axar.az reports that this was reported by the Press Service of the President.

It was reported that Turkiye-Azerbaijan relations, regional and global processes were discussed during the phone conversation.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia in a positive direction and said that Turkiye is following the process closely.

The President of Turkiye emphasized that the fair and sustainable peace that will be ensured in the region will create a new environment for both Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as for the countries of the region.

During the conversation, ideas were exchanged about future cooperation.
