Scarlett Johansson divorced her husband for sex

Scarlett Johansson has opened about her divorce from father of her child and French journalist Romain Dauriac after only two years of marriage.

In the new issue of Playboy magazine, the Avengers star said in very fancy, non-simplistic terms, that she doesn't believe in choosing to get down with with just one person for the rest of your living life.

"I think the idea of marriage is very romantic; it's a beautiful idea, and the practice of it can be a very beautiful thing. I don't think it's natural to be a monogamous person," she dished.

"I might be skewered for that, but I think it's work. It's a lot of work. And the fact that it is such work for so many people - for everyone - the fact of that proves that it is not a natural thing.

"It's something I have a lot of respect for and have participated in, but I think it definitely goes against some instinct to look beyond."

Incredible. Almost Tinder bio-worthy stuff.

Scarlett, 32, and from New York, was previously married to Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds from 2008 to 2010. He later married Blake Lively.

Speaking about the relationship last year, Scarlett told Cosmpolitan: "The logistics of being with another actor are challenging.

"There has to be a real understanding of how you share your time, especially when two people's careers are going at the same rate."

Her divorce from Romain could end up being a very costly affair as the star is worth an absolute fortune. Last year Scarlett, who has been acting since 1994, ranked at number 19 in the Forbes listof highest paid actors after earning $25 million (£19.8 million) last year.

She's reported to be worth an eye-watering $80 million (£63 million) thanks to her roles as the Black Widow in The Avengers and was reportedly paid $17.5 million (£13.8 million) for Ghost in the Shell.

She was also named as the top-grossing actor of 2016 by Forbes, with her films bringing around $3.3 billion (£2.6 billion). This made her the highest-grossing female actress of all time, which is pretty impressive.
