The actress - who was acting as Master of Ceremonies for the second time - put on a very steamy display with her co-presenter Alex Lutz.

The 52-year-old went in for the kill at the opening gala and premiere of Ismael’s Ghost inside the Palais des Festivals.

Monica was seen gripping the French comedian, 38, by the hair before diving in for a passionate kiss, all in front of the star-studded audience.

The pair left little to the imagination during the playful exchange, after placing her hands romantically on his cheeks.

Wearing her tresses swept to one side in glamorous waves, Monica had turned heads for all the right reasons in a dramatic, navy gown.

The stunning number highlighted her curves and came complete with sheer sleeves and a billowing tulle skirt.

The frock teased a hint of Monica’s pins and was teamed with a show-stopping necklace and smokey eye make-up.

The star was later joined by president of the jury, Pedro Almodovar, and model Lily-Rose Depp, who opted for a cut-out white dress.

It was a very busy first night for the Festival with a packed red carpet and even a wardrobe malfunction, thanks to Bella Hadid’s eye-popping get-up.

The 20-year-old flaunted her never-ending legs in the silver number, which came apart as she greeted Susan Sarandon.
