Divorce proceedings between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have reportedly stalled.

Axar.az reports citing US Weekly that friends of the couple have claimed they have not moved forward with trying to legally end their marriage after their shock split in September 2016.

An insider told the magazine: “The divorce is off. They haven't done anything to move it forward in several months and no one thinks they are ever going to.”

According to the publication, proceedings have halted because of Brad’s ‘commitment to self-improvement’ after openly discussing his relationship with alcohol in GQ back in May.

A friend of the actress claimed she had said she would consider taking Brad back 'if he showed he was committed to raising a family' and according to the source Brad 'got sober to try and win her back'.

The source continued: “Everyone thinks they are going to get back together.

“It wouldn't be surprising if they announced that they're calling it off and trying to work things out.”

Back in May, Brad spoke about his battle with alcohol revealing it had wrecked his marriage.

Brad confessed: “I was boozing too much. It’s just become a problem.

“I can’t remember a day since I got out of college when I wasn’t boozing or had a spliff or something.

“I mean, we have a winery. I enjoy wine very, very much, but I just ran it to the ground. I had to step away for a minute.

“Truthfully, I could drink a Russian under the table with his own vodka. I was a ­professional. I was good.”

The Ocean’s Eleven star went on to say he now sticks to just cranberry juice or sparkling water.

Asked how he managed to go cold turkey, he said simply: “I didn’t want to live that way anymore.”

Brad and Angeline are parents to Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Shiloh, 11, Zahara, 12 and twins Vivienne and Knox, nine.

They were together for 12 years before announcing their split.
