Taking to Instagram on October 23, Justin revealed he had covered his abs and pecs completely with a new design.

Axar.az reports citing the Sun that Justin started by taking a mirror selfie to show off the work, before adding a video so fans could see the design up close.

The design features gargoyles and skeletons.

Tattoo artist Bang Bang created the piece, and the artist has become a firm favourite for musicians.

Bang Bang - real name Keith McCurdy - also has Rihanna, Cara Delevigne, Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus as previous clients.

His tattoo parlour is based in the little Italy sector of New York City.

What tattoos does the new ink cover?

Justin's new body art covers at least five tattoos he had added to his collection over the years.

This included a giant eagle across his stomach, a tattoo commemorating his album Purpose, and above it the moniker "Son of God".

The eagle can still be seen somewhat in the new piece, but the others have been completely covered over.
