Meghan Markle’s wedding dress is apparently going to cost £100,000. The 36-year-old is said to have settled on a gown from British designer Ralph & Russo, with the Royal Family reportedly agreeing to foot the bill.
Axar.az informs citing metro.co.uk.
Sources close to the royals and contacts in fashion industry told Mail Online the dress will have beads and be hand-stitched. A source said: ‘It sounds a lot but this is the wedding of the year and hundreds of hours of manpower have gone into making it, almost all by hand.’
Despite the rumours palace officials are determined the style and designer of Markle’s wedding gown will be kept secret until the moment she gets out of the car to walk into the chapel. They added the tradition was very important. Ms Markle is set to marry Prince Harry, 33, at St George’s Chapel, in Windsor, on May 19.
It was revealed yesterday she would be walked down the aisle by her father Thomas Markle. He will meet the Queen along with Ms Markle’s mother Doria Ragland. Harry’s press secretary, Jason Knauf, also confirmed they would see Prince Philip, Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, and Prince William and Kate Middleton. Ms Markle’s divorced parents will arrive during the week before the wedding so they have time to meet Harry’s family. At the wedding, the new royal couple also plan to honor the memory of the late Princess Diana, Harry’s mother, who died in a Paris car crash in 1997.
