Newly engaged actress Priyanka Chopra has been notorious for publicly supporting her close pal, Meghan Markle on numerous occasions, and now the royal is returning the favor.

News broke earlier this morning that Chopra and boyfriend (now fiancé) Nick Jonas are reportedly set to tie the knot after an alleged two months of dating, and Jonas closed down a Tiffany & Co. store on her birthday for an incredibly gallant proposal. Naturally, Twitter is having a field day over yet another whirlwind engagement to add to the expanding summer 2018 list (see: Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson, Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber), but we're most interested in Meghan Markle's thoughts on the matter. And, more importantly, whether she's in the running for bridesmaid.

A source dished on the Duchess's stance to E! News, and she's "very excited" for her BFF and former Jonas Brothers beau.

"Everyone is very happy and they are definitely a great match," the source added on Meghan's behalf. Three cheers for more Meghan Markle guest attire inspo!

We don't want to say we called it, but all signs recently seemed to have been pointing to wedding bells. Foreshadowing their engagement, Chopra, 36, and Jonas, 25, were seen sporting matching gold rings during a trip to Mumbai, India last month. Plus, sources previously confided to E! News earlier in the month that an engagement was inevitable within the next year. No time like the present!

Chopra, a well-known feminist, also opened up about her standpoint on marriage (which perhaps inspired Nick to pull the trigger). "I love the idea of getting married," she told Entertainment Tonight July 12. "I totally want to get married at some point. I don’t think marriage makes you smaller or bigger or more feminist or not. Feminism basically is women saying, 'Give us our own choices without judging us.' That’s all it is. It’s not about berating someone. It’s not about proving a point. I totally would love to get married."

The couple's relationship first went public at the beginning of June, when the Quantico actress attended Jonas's cousin's wedding as his plus-one. But, the pair's friendship dates back even further—Chopra and Jonas attended the Met Gala together in 2017.
