Actress Fiona Wade has revealed she is engaged to her former co-star Simon Cotton.

Fiona had only confirmed their romance six months ago when she posted a picture of the pair canoodling in a field.

She announced the happy news on her Instagram account on New Year's Day, sharing a sweet snap of the couple embracing in a candlelit room.

The soap star posted: 'Two days ago this beautiful man asked me to be his wife. There has never been an easier answer to a question.... Yes! ❤
