We've seen the striking images of Cara Delevingne posing nude as the face – and body – of Balmain’s spring/summer 2019 campaign, and today, the accompanying film has landed.

Axar.az reports citing Bazaar news agency that, the French house's creative director, Olivier Rousteing, teased the footage on Instagram, sharing a video of Cara wearing nothing but sea water against a backdrop of crashing waves. A large letter B also features – Pierre Balmain's original logo for his eponymous brand, which was revived last year.

In the accompanying caption, Rousteing writes: 'Imagin a world where you can be yourself without being judged. Imagin a world where there is love and no hate. Imagin a world where you feel free freedom is the key. Be yourself. Be free' [sic].

It's a sentiment that Cara is similarly passionate about. The model has frequently spoken about the need to foster inclusivity in the mainstream media and has famously put her fashion career on the back burner since pursuing acting.

So it's a treat to see her striking a pose once more for her longtime fashion friend. The pair have built an enduring friendship, with Cara starring alongside the Frenchman for the accompanying campaign images [below]. Rousteing revealed that choosing to strip together was 'all about authenticity'.

You may recall the Brit also briefly came out of runway retirement for the designer last September. Cara opened his show at Paris Fashion Week while lip syncing to Prince, much to the audience's delight.

So will she return for this season's show, due to take place in a matter of weeks? Here's hoping.
