I was 'scared' to refuse to wear a Hijab on scene

Mia Khalifa says she left the porn industry out of shame in 2015, and the outrage from the Muslim community which followed the infamous headscarf scene had contributed to her departure.

Axar.az reports citing foreign media.

“I verbatim told them, 'You guys are going to get me killed',” she said.

When asked what drove her to settle for it nevertheless, she answered: “Intimidation. I was scared.”

She explained: “Have you ever felt scared to – not scared, but nervous – to speak up and say something at a restaurant when your food’s not right and the waiter comes by and says, ‘how is everything?’"

She says she is still “ashamed” of her brief stint in porn and would change her mind if she could go back in time.
