Ben Affleck has heaped praise on Robert Pattinson, saying that the 33-year-old actor is going to do “great” as Batman in Matt Reeves’ upcoming take on the superhero.

Axar.az reports citing foreign media that Affleck made these comments to Jake Hamilton. After being quizzed about Pattinson’s potential work as Bruce Wayne, Affleck remarked, "I think Robert's a great actor, he's going to do great."

During the same interview, Affleck also gave some additional insight into his departure from the DC Extended Universe, admitting that he had actually written a script for a solo Batman film alongside Geoff Johns.

However, by the time it came to making the film, Affleck admits that he had lost his passion for the franchise, which ultimately provoked him to leave behind the character and the superhero franchise.
