The famous Georgian director died

The famous Georgian film director Otar Ioseliani died at the age of 89.

Axar.az reports citing foreign media.

O. Ioseliani was born on February 2, 1934 in Tbilisi. The director is the author of such films as "Khazal" and "Pastoral", which were awarded international awards.

In the early 1980s, Ioseliani started working in France, making several documentaries and feature films.

In 1984, he received the title of People's Artist of the Georgian SSR. The director was awarded the special prize of the jury at the Venice Film Festival three times and won the "Silver Moon" award and the "Nika" award twice.
