The fortune of Bernard Arnault, the founder and president of the LVMH group of companies, which is a manufacturer of luxury clothes and accessories, increased by 17 billion dollars to 201 billion dollars on September 26.

Axar.az reports that on the morning of September 26, Bernard Arnault was the leader in wealth losses - since the beginning of 2024, his wealth has decreased by 24 billion dollars.

The recent increase is due to a new government decision in China, the largest market for luxury goods.

Chinese officials have pledged to support fiscal spending and stabilize the struggling real estate sector. All that has changed since the government announced enhanced measures to stimulate economic growth.

So, according to the Euronext stock exchange in Paris, LVMH shares increased by 9.9% on September 26 and reached 678.5 euros per share. As a result, Bernal Arnaud's fortune immediately increased by $17.1 billion and rose to $201 billion. Currently, he is close to Mark Zuckerberg, who occupies the third place in the world ranking of the richest people with a fortune of 202 billion dollars.
