Azerbaijan clarifies Armenia import data

The State Customs Committee has commented on reports that Azerbaijan imported goods worth $960 from Armenia last month.

Axar.az informs that the committee stated that the goods in question were actually roses imported from the Netherlands.

Under clause 3.3 of the “Rules for the Publication of Foreign Trade Customs Statistics,” the country of origin is recorded as the partner country in import statistics. As a result, the roses were listed in foreign trade data as imports from Armenia.

It should be noted that the State Customs Committee had earlier reported that goods worth $960 were imported from Armenia for the first time in March this year.
