The second day of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), being held in Baku, has officially begun.

Axar.az informs that the Leaders’ Summit will take place today for the first time in the history of the World Urban Forum.

An official opening press conference is also scheduled for the second day of the forum.

The conference is expected to focus on key issues such as the global housing crisis, the development of safe and sustainable cities, urbanization policies, and strengthening urban resilience.

Throughout the day, the Joint Assemblies Closing Ceremony, the African Ministers’ Meeting, and a session of MINURVI — the Forum of Ministers and High-Level Authorities on Housing and Urban Development of Latin America and the Caribbean — will also be held.

The forum, which runs through May 22, has attracted more than 40,000 registered participants from 182 countries.
