I am very grateful to the Government of Azerbaijan for hosting the World Urban Forum.

Axar.az informs, citing АPA, that this was told by the Director General of the Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency Khawaja Sikandar Zeeshan.

He noted that WUF13 is a very prestigious event and a very prestigious forum:

“Here we are bringing the whole world together to discuss urbanisation problems, especially climate change and other related issues. We are currently implementing one of the world’s largest low-income, interest-free housing programmes. We came here to highlight Pakistan’s achievements, especially those of Punjab province, in the housing sector.”

He stated that from the moment he arrived in Baku, he was fascinated by Azerbaijan’s architecture: “We share many common cultural and historical values. We are already holding talks with diplomatic representatives visiting us. We hope to expand partnerships in architecture, urban planning, urban development and other similar fields. Using this platform, we plan to develop many forms of cooperation with Azerbaijan.”
