Axar.az informs, citing АPA, that President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev made the remarks at the opening ceremony of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku.

“The true owners of the land behave exactly like this. Unlike those who come to destroy, devastate, and bring suffering to people, they build, create, and restore. Today, more than 85,000 Azerbaijanis already live in the territories liberated from occupation. They work, live, and study there, and ensuring their employment is one of the main tasks facing our government. Therefore, before building housing, private homes, schools, and hospitals for them, the first priority is, of course, demining the areas. At the same time, the issue of employment is also being kept in focus. The many industrial zones already established and those planned in these regions will support the rapid return of hundreds of thousands of people who were deprived of the right to live in their native lands,” the head of state said.
