Only with secure housing can people work and live happily, and only through such stability can happiness become sustainable.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Mr. Wang Shengjun, a representative of China's Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, during the panel discussion titled “Quality and Secure Housing for a Sustainable Urban Future” held within the framework of WUF13.

According to him, at present, China’s urbanization is transitioning from a period of rapid growth to one of stable development:

“Urban development is shifting from large-scale expansion to a stage focused mainly on improving the quality and efficiency of existing urban areas.

We uphold the important people-centered urban development philosophy proposed by President Xi Jinping: ‘Cities are built by the people and for the people.’”

Mr. Wang stated that China remains committed to high-quality urban development, taking urban renewal as an important driver and firmly focusing on ensuring adequate housing for the people, while systematically promoting better homes, better neighborhoods, better communities, and better cities.
