Nearly 70,000 passengers transported during WUF 13

As part of World Urban Forum 13 hosted by Azerbaijan in Baku, the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA) is ensuring smooth, continuous, and safe transportation for guests and participants.

Axar.az informs, citing AYNA, transportation for international guests arriving for WUF13 is being organized from Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

A total of nine hubs, two terminal points, and more than 67 intermediate stops are operating under the forum’s transport plan.

Over the three days of the forum, from May 17 to 19, buses made 3,260 trips between the hubs and the venue, carrying 56,858 passengers.

Overall, from May 12 to 19, since transport services began for the event, buses completed 5,555 trips between the airport, hubs, and the venue, transporting 68,263 passengers. A total of 180 buses were deployed.

AYNA noted that all routes and transport operations are being monitored around the clock by its Monitoring Center. Nearly 1,500 staff, including drivers and operational personnel, have been involved in the process.
