Citizens of Azerbaijan living in Turkey will be able to obtain an identity card using the services of ASAN, Fuad Muradov, chairman of the Azerbaijani State Committee for Work with the Diaspora, said during his speech at the signing ceremony of a memorandum of cooperation between the State Committee and the ASAN Service.

Axar.az reports citing Trend.

According to Muradov, the number of Azerbaijani citizens living in Turkey who need to obtain various documents is currently being determined.

"At present, the number of citizens who need to obtain documents is being determined. Afterwards, we will need to determine the number of citizens who do not have an identity card. Work in this direction will begin shortly. It is being considered to form a working group to this end, which will include representatives of the Ministry of the Interior, the ASAN Service and other structures," said Muradov.

The ASAN mobile resources will be used to issue documents and identity cards.

Muradov stated that the committee is also currently working on creating an electronic database of citizens living abroad, with work being nearly complete on citizens living in countries such as Germany, Switzerland, France, Italy, Ukraine and Turkey.
