Based on the order of President Ilham Aliyev, the return of internally displaced persons from Shusha to their hometown will soon begin.

Axar.az reports that the State Committee for Refugees and Forced Displaced Persons published information about this.

It was reported that a lottery was held among the families to be transferred to Shusha city at the initial stage. Representatives of the special representative office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Shusha district, the Shusha District Executive Power and the Public Council under the State Committee also took part in the event.

It should be noted that the families to be relocated to Shusha will be provided with apartments in multi-apartment buildings. New residential areas are given to IDPs who have temporarily settled in various places in the republic and are permanently registered in Shusha. The first lottery was held among the families of martyrs, veterans and 20 families working in construction and reconstruction works in the city, and each of them was presented with an apartment suitable for their family composition. Apartments have 2, 3, 4, 5 rooms. It is planned to send the families who participated in the lottery to Shusha in early May.

The drawing of lots among the families to be relocated to Shusha city will continue in a phased manner.
