A group of servicemen of the Azerbaijan Navy (NDF) participated in the "Kurtaran - 2024" underwater search and rescue exercise held in the eastern Mediterranean Sea.

Axar.az was informed about this by the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.

In the training, search and rescue ships carried out the tasks of searching for the wrecked submarine using robots, assessing the situation, transferring food and medical supplies to the crew through divers, and rescuing them with special equipment.

Also, activities on evacuation of the crew of the wrecked ship in need of help on the water were carried out with high professionalism by dropping necessary supplies from airplanes, and performing parachute jumps into the sea.

52 representatives from 17 countries participated in the "Kurtaran - 2024" international training.
