On May 4, the third meeting of the Organizing Committee was held in connection with the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).

Axar.az reports that Samir Nuriyev, Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, informed about the work done within the framework of the COP29 preparation process since the last meeting and the implementation of the Action Plan for COP29 in this regard.

Samir Nuriyev pointed out that the logo and slogan of COP29 have been determined. He said that the motto of COP29 is "Let's be united for the sake of a green world!" as chosen.

Stating that the COP29 and the Leaders' Summit will be held at the Baku Olympic Stadium, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee emphasized that the design and on-site preparations are currently being carried out in and around the stadium.

Samir Nuriyev noted that on behalf of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, letters of invitation were sent to the heads of state and government of the countries to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. Samir Nuriyev said that the head of our state gave information on the main directions reflecting the position of our country on COP29 and climate change issues at the international forum called "COP29 and Green Vision for Azerbaijan", Petersburg Climate Dialogue and VI World Intercultural Dialogue Forum. The Chairman of the Organizing Committee said that our country actively participates in important international events in the field of climate change, including the World Bank's Washington spring session and the Petersburg Climate Dialogue, and stressed the importance of serious preparations for the Bonn climate change conference to be held in June.
