The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev got acquainted with the works carried out on the Khankendi-Shusha-Lach highway.

Axar.az reports that Saleh Mammadov, chairman of the State Agency of Azerbaijan Highways, informed the head of state about the work done.

It was reported that the construction works on the Khankendi-Shusha-Lachin highway reconstruction project are continuing. The total length of the highway is 34 kilometers. The width of the soil bed on the second technical grade road is 15 meters, and the width of each lane is 3.75 meters.

2 bridges, 4 tunnels and culverts will be built on the road. Excavation works have been carried out at the entrance and exit portals of the first and third tunnels, which are 440 and 1100 meters long. In the other two tunnels - the second and fourth tunnels with lengths of 540 and 300 meters, work will be started soon.
