Azerbaijan’s table tennis player sets Guinness world record

Azerbaijan's table tennis player Nihad Mammadov has officially been included in the Guinness World Records after successfully setting a new benchmark for the longest-distance table tennis serve.

Axar.az reports that the achievement was confirmed through an official certificate issued by Guinness world records.

The record attempt took place in April at the Shua Sports Complex under the supervision of officials from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, representatives of the Azerbaijan Table Tennis Federation, and international referee Zaur Mikayilov. Mammadov successfully executed the serve from a distance of 18.20 meters.

The current record of 17.50 meters is held by Turkiye’s Osman Gurcu.
