Real Madrid's head coach Carlo Ancelotti has won the Johan Cruyff Award.

Axar.az reports that this award is presented to the best coach of the year.

Ancelotti was announced as the winner at the awards ceremony for the best of the year held at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris. However, no representatives from Real Madrid attended the event.

In the 2023/24 season, the Italian coach led Real to victory in both the Spanish Championship and the Champions League.

Alongside Ancelotti, other nominees for the award included Xabi Alonso (Bayer), Luis de la Fuente (Spain national team), Lionel Scaloni (Argentina national team), Gian Piero Gasperini (Atalanta), and Josep Guardiola (Manchester City).

For the women's category, the best coach of the year was awarded to Emma Hayes, the manager of Chelsea.

The winner of the Herd Müller Award, presented to the season's top scorer, has also been determined.

Based on the results of the 2023/24 season, there are two winners of the award: Harry Kane from Bayern and Kylian Mbappé from Real Madrid. Both forwards scored 44 goals at the club level during the season, with Mbappé achieving this in 48 matches and Kane in 45 matches.

Real Madrid has also been named the best club of the year for the 2023/24 season.

The "Royal Club" outperformed Borussia Dortmund, Girona, Bayer, and Manchester City. The Madrid team was the winner of both the Spanish Championship and the UEFA Champions League last season.
