Kakha Kaladze seeks third term as Tbilisi mayor

Georgia’s ruling Georgian Dream–Democratic Georgia Party has officially nominated Kakha Kaladze as a candidate for mayor of Tbilisi in connection with the upcoming elections on October 4.

Axar.az reports that an event was held in Mtatsminda Park to announce Kakha Kaladze’s candidacy.

Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, nominated Kaladze on behalf of the Georgian Dream team. The honorary chairman of Georgian Dream, Bidzina Ivanishvili, also attended the event.

It should be noted that Kaladze was elected mayor of the capital for the first time in 2017 and again in 2021.

For information, local self-government elections will be held in Georgia on October 4.
