World taekwondo champion Emin Cetinbag has been arrested in a fraud case linked to a criminal group that also included several former police officers.

Axar.az reports, citing TASS, investigators in Moscow from the Russian Investigative Committee are probing a criminal case against six members of a criminal group, which includes world taekwondo champion Emin Cetinbag and former detectives from a police department.

According to the press service, depending on their roles, the individuals are accused of crimes under Article 286, Part 3, Clauses “a,” “g,” and “e” of the Russian Criminal Code (abuse of official authority) and Article 159, Part 4 (fraud).

Five members of the group have been charged and taken into custody, while another suspect is currently being sought.
