The Trump administration wants to remove the Ukraine issue from the agenda to remove obstacles to normal economic relations with Russia.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

"Trump's statements about his disappointment with the pace of settlement in Ukraine are partly explained by his preference for quick solutions. Moscow wants to maintain the dialogue established between the Russian and US presidents, and Washington wants it too. Russia will have additional contacts with the US regarding Ukraine," he said.
