Ukraine’s drone attacks drain Russian Buk supplies

Amid Ukraine’s “deep” strikes with drones, the Russian army is experiencing a shortage of missiles for the “Buk” system.

Axar.az reports that this was written by the analyst known as “ChrisO_wiki” on his X page.

The analyst referred to Russian “war blogger” Maksim Kalashnikov’s conversation with Russian air defense personnel.

According to Kalashnikov, each six “Buk” air defense systems is supplied with only one or two missiles. Moreover, recently the “Buks” have been equipped with missiles originally intended for naval air defense systems.

Although Kalashnikov did not explain the reasons for the shortage of surface-to-air missiles, “ChrisO_wiki” put forward his own opinion.

“The most likely reason is that Ukraine’s nighttime drone attacks on oil refineries and other targets have seriously depleted Russia’s stock of ‘Buk’ missiles.”
